Anna specializes in imagery based on her own mythology of ancient spirits from the future.
This blog is intended to keep and maintain and share the stories which are unfolding with each painting both new and as time carries on.
I would also like to add that the majority of my paintings are all created directly onto the surface, rarely having any pre-planning or pre-sketching. I also very seldom work from visual references. Most of my work comes directly out of my imagination, almost intuitively, following marks and patterns until they manifest into sensible shapes and eyes and happenings. Often times, I will not understand the subject of a piece, even upon completion. Sometimes it takes several weeks for me to sit with a piece, to decipher it’s purpose and meaning and then even, the meaning will still change and evolve depending in time and context.
